Emulator UI Project: Seeking Feedback on Apple-inspired Design

Hey everyone! I’m working on a cool project and could use some input. I’m building a frontend launcher for emulators that looks like Apple’s Music and Podcasts apps. It’s coming along nicely!

Most of the features and settings are up and running, but there’s still a lot to do. I need to:

  1. Clean things up
  2. Run thorough QA tests
  3. Finish the account settings
  4. Set up control options
  5. Add IGDB integration

I’m pretty excited about how it’s shaping up, but I’d love to hear what you think. Got any ideas or suggestions? Maybe you’ve worked on something similar before?

Thanks for checking it out. Your feedback means a lot!

wow, that sounds awesome! i’ve always wanted a slick emulator ui like that. have u thought about adding themes? like different color schemes or even game-inspired designs? could be a cool way to personalize it. keep up the great work man!

Your project sounds intriguing. From my experience with similar interfaces, I’d suggest focusing on intuitive navigation and quick load times. Consider implementing a search function with robust filtering options to help users easily find specific games or emulators. Also, think about including a feature that allows users to create and save custom game collections or playlists. This can greatly enhance the user experience and make your launcher stand out. Lastly, don’t underestimate the importance of a smooth, responsive UI - even minor lag can be frustrating when browsing large game libraries.

ooh, sounds like a cool project! have u considered adding a feature for importing roms automatically? it could save users tons of time. also, what about integrating speedrun leaderboards? that’d be awesome for competitive gamers. keep us updated on ur progress!
