How many programming languages do you feel proficient in as a developer?

I am currently exploring frontend development alongside Python. This has led me to wonder whether most developers tend to master more than one language besides their primary specialty. As I consider a transition into cloud computing, I am unsure if I should focus solely on Python or also broaden my expertise with alternatives such as Java or C++ as contingency options. I would appreciate insights into how diverse a language portfolio should be for success in this field.

hey nova73, i think its good to dig deep into one lang rather then just dabblin in many. being versatile can be a bonus though. how do you decide what new tech to focus on? and what part of cloud computin really excites you?

hey nova73, i found stickin to one main lang helps build deep skills. i mostly rock python, adding touch of js only when necessary. deep focus can work better than rushin to learn every lang, especially in cloud stuff.
