Can SQL autocomplete be disabled in Databricks?

Question: The latest Databricks update now automatically adds SQL autocomplete, which many find distracting. Existing documentation lacks an option to disable this feature. How can I turn it off?

i’ve had an odd experince with databricks autocomplete. have you tried tweaking any obscure setting or maybe using an older version? anyone else notice similar issues? would love to hear what you’ve found.

hey, i noticed the same, databricks now has it locked in. no clear patch to disable it yet, so i just learn to live with it. maybe an update soon but for now, ignore the noise if u can. thanks!

hey, im surprisd that the option to disable autocomplete is gone. i haven’t found any hidden setting u know? curious if anyone’s experimenting with workarounds or device feedback to databricks for a toggle option? what do u think?

Based on my observations after the recent update, SQL autocomplete in Databricks now operates as a default feature with no direct settings to disable it. Rather than searching for hidden configuration options, I examined the documentation and community feedback, and it appears that this functionality is now integral to the platform. A workaround I considered involves adjusting workflow habits to accommodate the feature, while also providing feedback to Databricks. Continuously checking for updates or patches is advisable, as Databricks may introduce customization in future releases.
