Disappointed to learn Multi-Team was a server-side feature all along

I can’t believe Multi-Team didn’t require a client update! It’s frustrating to think this feature could have been added much earlier. On the bright side, I guess I won’t need to tweak my mode scripts anymore. Still, it feels like we’ve been waiting for something that was technically possible all this time. Does anyone else feel let down by this revelation? I’m curious about what other ‘backend’ features might be hiding in plain sight. Maybe there are more surprises waiting to be unlocked without the need for client-side patches. What do you think about this situation? Are there any other features you suspect might already be possible without a full update?

I understand the frustration, but it’s worth considering the complexity of implementing server-side features. While Multi-Team was technically possible earlier, ensuring stability, performance, and compatibility across all game modes likely required extensive testing. This approach allows for smoother rollouts and reduces the risk of client-side bugs.

Looking ahead, I suspect features like enhanced matchmaking algorithms or dynamic map rotations could be implemented server-side. These improvements might not require client updates but could significantly enhance gameplay. It’s a reminder that game development often involves balancing technical possibilities with practical considerations.

Perhaps this revelation opens up opportunities for more frequent feature updates in the future, as server-side changes can be deployed more rapidly than full client patches.

wow, really? that’s kinda wild! i never thought about it that way before. makes ya wonder what else might be hiding behind the scenes, right? have u noticed any other features that seemed to pop up outta nowhere? maybe we should start a thread to brainstorm hidden possibilities! what do u think could be next?

yeah, kind of sucks but at least we got it! maybe they were just ironing out issues coz sometimes it’s the backend magic. i’m buzzed to see what else pops up soon, though it ain’t perfect.
