Hey everyone, we just pushed a server update and ran into a bug that’s messing with how fast planets get freed. The numbers are going way too high which sounds cool but it’s actually breaking how the whole war system works.
Basically this glitch is ruining the game balance and will cause problems with the war mechanics later on. We decided to stop the Galactic War for now while we work on a fix. We’re already working on it but don’t have a timeline yet. You can still play the game normally but your progress won’t count toward freeing planets or moving the war forward.
This one’s on us and we take full responsibility. We’re not going to undo any progress that happened because of this bug though, so your current major order completion is safe.
We’ll post updates when we know more. Thanks for your patience while we sort this out!
oh wow, that’s super interesting - like what caused the values to shoot up so much? is it a db thing or maybe a glitch in the calcs? how long do these fixes usually take? i’m curious!
Thanks for being upfront about this. I hit the same thing during the last big update - liberation values going crazy between missions. Smart call pausing the Galactic War instead of letting broken mechanics snowball. I’ve watched other games try hotfixing this stuff while everything’s still running and it just creates more mess. Good call keeping our progress intact too - nobody wants their legit work rolled back. Can’t wait to see how the war plays out once you get this fixed.
damn that sucks but at least you guys caught it quick. was wondering why liberation was going so fast earlier lol. good call pausing everything instead of letting it spiral out of control tho
