I transitioned from Python to Express.js and enjoy backend work, yet my frontend skills are limited. Is it prudent to focus exclusively on Node.js for a viable career?
Relying exclusively on Node.js for backend development is a viable option if you are comfortable with its ecosystem and its ability to create scalable applications. In my experience, deep familiarity with Node.js can open career opportunities in environments that emphasize full-stack JavaScript solutions. However, it is important to maintain a strong foundation in programming fundamentals and be cognizant of evolving technology trends. Staying informed about complementary technologies will ensure that your skill set remains relevant in a dynamic job market.
i think node js is good for backend work but make sure you know at least some basics from other languges too. sticking solely to node might box you in if more traditional frameworks or tech stacks are needed in job roles.
i love node js coz its fast but im curious… have u ever toyed with a little python or another lang? mixing things up might spark new ideas. what do u reckon, has using another tech ever upped your backend game?
