What are the best modern frontend options available now?

I haven’t looked into frontend solutions for quite some time now, maybe around 18 months or so. Back then I got Launchbox and put a lot of time into setting it up properly. The problem is that with each new version they release, everything seems to run much slower than before. The performance keeps getting worse and it’s really frustrating.

I’m willing to pay for a quality frontend if it’s worth it, but I’m not sure what good alternatives exist these days. So far I only know about Launchbox and Daijisho, but there must be other options out there.

Has anyone tried any newer frontends recently? I’m looking for something that runs smoothly and doesn’t bog down my system. Any recommendations would be really helpful.

u might wanna check out big box if ur lookin for something more polished, it’s a paid option but def worth it if u value smoothness and ease of use. also, xbmc has come a long way too, great for media management and frontend stuff.

hmm interesting that launchbox is getting sluggish for you! have you tried playnite by any chance? it’s free and pretty snappy from what i remember. also curious - what kind of setup are you running? like how many games are we talking about here? sometimes the slowdown isnt the frontend itself but how its configured, you know?
