I’m keen to understand what prompted you to specialize in data engineering rather than explore opportunities in data analysis or data science. While many professionals wear multiple hats, I’m especially interested in those who have committed to the engineering facet. Would you ever be open to transitioning to another role?
I opted for data engineering because I found the challenge of building robust and scalable systems more compelling than the analytical focus of data science. My interest lies in designing architectures that efficiently handle large volumes of data, which requires practical problem-solving skills and a strong foundation in system design. This role allows me to work at the intersection of software engineering and analytics, enabling me to build solutions that directly impact business operations. Although I remain open to evolving my career path, data engineering currently aligns best with my technical strengths and interests.
my pick was all abot the thrill of building and mainteining real-deal data pipelines. the hands on process of wrangling messy data looked more fun than pure theory. i might switch roles someday but for now, engineering is where i thrive
i got into data engneering for the thrill of designing systems that sort real time data flows. its a challenge that keeps me curious. do u think the lines between data science and engneering might blur even more in the future?
